Course Date: Monday 25th March - 2-5pm
Course Location: The Awesome Woods at Snowdonia Donkeys, Ffarm Moelyci, Tregarth.
 
Why should kids and cavemen have all the fun?
This 3 hour bushcraft course is just for women.
 
Be greeted at the main entrance of Snowdonia Donkeys and then stroll up to the bushcraft area, in the woods, together.
In the first hour you'll gather and process natural materials to make our campfire. Then using primitive tools and techniques you will create an ember and nuture it into flame. One of your mini fires will then be used to light our main campfire so we can boil the water to make ourselves a panad to be enjoyed with biscuits.
Once we have enjoyed our smoky brew we will sit round the campfire to whittle a craft item to take home. You'll learn different whittling techniques and cuts to shape your wood into an item to be proud of. 
 
As well as fire lighting and whittling, you'll get an insight into the environment in the area, learn about leaving no trace and leave feeling relaxed and with a great sense of achievement.
 
The Awesome Woods where the course will be based is owned by Snowdonia Donkeys, a charity which works to help change the lives of both people and donkeys. So it is highly likely that the soundtrack to the session will not only be birds singing but donkeys braying! The sanctuary will be closed to the public on this day but for those on the course, the donkeys will be nearby and you will get a chance to say hello from the other side of the fence!
 
The course is limited to 8 attendees to ensure everyone gets the most from the session.
Please note: a minimum of 4 bookings is required in order for the session to go ahead. If the minimum number is not reached, the session will be rescheduled to a later date.
