This is a DIY kit for children to make their own beeswax wraps.
The kits are suitable for any age just with varying levels of supervision. Our youngest maker so far is Leo who was only 4 years old and he loved making his wraps and then using them in his school lunch box.
In the kit you will find the fabric you need to make 3 beeswax wraps, a small, medium and large (20,25,30cm). The two wax blocks included are our special blend of beeswax, pine resin and organic jojoba oil to make the wraps super sticky and easy to use.
Also included is a wooden button and twine so you can choose if you want to turn the large wrap into a sandwich wrap.
You also receive a children’s task sheet, adult instructions and notes with ideas on how to turn the craft project into an even bigger project learning about bees and plastic waste and Did You Know cards.
A great way to spend a morning then pack up your snacks in your wraps and go out for an adventure in the afternoon. The beeswax wraps will be perfect for wrapping sandwiches, flapjacks, covering bowls, keeping half an apple fresh or for taking snacks out and about or to school.
Wash them in cold soapy water, leave them to dry on your drainer and then use them again!
They should last you up to a year and all instructions for looking after your wraps come with the kit and can also be found in the FAQ section of this website.
